Codemasters have announced DiRT 4, a brand new entry to their DiRT franchise, and fans will only have to wait until June to enjoy it.

While the trailer is short and sweet, it looks like DiRT 4 will revolve more around what made the original a classic. The developers have said in an announcement blog that they are making a game with the feel of both DiRT Rally and DiRT 2.

Also briefly explained is a new feature called Your Stage, which will let you randomly generate stages in the locations found in the game.

The last main game in the series – DiRT Showdown – released around the same time five years ago, with DiRT 3 coming out a year beforehand. Codemasters went through Early Access to develop DiRT Rally, which focused on making a realistic experience for rallying.

With only five month in between now and when the game should be released, we can expect more from Codemasters in the near future.
