Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe has tweeted that he’s working on new content the game, including a teaser image for fans.
I'm working on some new Stardew Valley content, to be released with the upcoming free multiplayer update. This will affect single-player, too! I'll share more when the release gets closer. Though I'll keep some things secret (more fun) pic.twitter.com/rgWCt8IIRi

With multiplayer being worked on for the game, content to add a little bit more to the game will be added alongside when the update is finally ready to release on PC and consoles.
From the looks of the screenshot provided by ConcernedApe, a boat is going to be docked in the towns port. Whether it will be for the whole game or periodically, or whether you’ll be able to interact with the boat in some way is unknown at the moment.
Stardew Valley originally released on PC in early 2016, becoming one of the most-loved indie titles in recent years. Inspired by Harvest Moon, you look after a farm your character has inherited, improving it and trying to make profit over the period of the game.
