Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was supposed to release today (Wednesday), but was up on the iOS and Android storefronts on Tuesday.
The mobile Animal Crossing game comes after the success Nintendo has found bringing popular franchises like Pokemon, Super Mario and Fire Emblem to iOS and Android devices.
So far on the Google Play Store the game has just over 78,000 ratings with an average of 4.5. It also includes microtransactions up to £38.99, which is typical of free-to-play games on mobile.
MyNintendoNews reported that in Australia the game reached first in the iOS charts in less time than Super Mario Run, which took 14 hours to get up to the top step.
